Winter in the Commonwealth
As you, your companion, and Dogmeat trudge through the snow, you hear distant gunfire. You hold your weapon close, and your companion does the same. Your sled full of supplies and junk is next to you, and you keep your weapon ready in case of attack. It's frigid outside, but you are bundled up in clothing. With your hat, gloves and "thick-enough" boots, you are able to make it back to your settlement.
You hear your companion light a cigarette. You look over and see that their nose is red from the wind, and you wonder if yours is too. You are trying to make it back as fast as you can, before the sun goes down. You imagine the warm fire you will be coming back to, and can't wait to take off your wet clothes and change into something dry and warm.
