The Ultra-Luxe
You walk up the steps to the door. A greeter escorts you inside and requests to take your weapons. You hand him all of them, except for a small concealed sidearm and pocket knife, and walk across the dirty carpet. It smells of perfume and cigarette smoke, and lots of alcohol. All of the dealers and guards, and some of the patrons, are wearing unnerving masquerade masks.
The interior is a pale indigo and ivory, and there is a huge, strange, almost plant-like sculpture in the center of the big circular room. In the middle is the bar. You see a man in a cowboy hat hunched over a drink. At the many tables around the bar are various well-dressed patrons rolling dice, flipping cards, and sipping liquor.
You detect a faint vibe of uneasiness. You chalk it up to the masks and the odd decor.
