The Lavender Beds | Night |
The housing community dies down at night to fires and figments of sleep, the paths run dark and most homegoes run back to warmth of their walls. Their beds, their dreams. A few fires still flake on the outside of township homes, and its well enough to hear the sparking crack wherever you go, the conversations that well up around them reminding you often enough that even on the outskirts of city and treeline, the forest never truly sleeps.
