The Crater of Atom
You've made it to the center of the Glowing Sea, the Crater of Atom. The sky and atmosphere is as sickly green/yellow as ever, and there are metal lean-tos and shacks all over. At the center of this valley in the mountainous region is a giant crater. Radiation levels have peaked, according to your geiger counter, and yet there are dozens of people wandering about in nothing but robes of flimsy fabric. Most of their hair has fallen out, but they don't show many other signs of radiation poisoning.
You hear quiet chanting and praying all around you. People on their knees, heads down. They appear to be worshipping this giant crater and the radiation being emitted from it. Roars in the distance, but no beasts in this area, these people appear to be fairly safe, amidst the dangerous of the Glowing Sea.
Why would they choose to live here? And, are they dangerous?
