Fo4- Greentop Nursery during the day

After a brutal few days for you and the ex-Paladin, you emerge from the bunker, tired, defeated. You know of a settlement nearby that would take you in- Greentop Nursery. An old couple lives there, tending to the greenhouse plants and their 4 chickens. It's quiet there, and pretty safe. No one in the BOS would expect you to be there. No one will find you there.
After asking the couple to stay for a few days, which the couple gracefully and warmly accepted, you and he curl up on an old cot in the dilapidated house. You both sleep into the next afternoon. You were exhausted mentally and physically. It's been rough, especially for the former Paladin.
When you wake up, you smell burning firewood outside. The couple has made enough dinner to feed the four of you. You graciously eat what they made you, despite it not tasting very good. You offer to clean up afterwards, giving them time to relax, something they rarely have time to do. The evening is quiet, and peaceful. The four of you head to your beds, and sleep until morning.
When you two wake up, you ask the couple if they would be okay with you constructing a small hut off the side of the house, for the two of you to stay for awhile and then afterward, as a shed for the couple to store their things.
You collect the supplies and get to work. The work is difficult, but you two are calm and quiet throughout the process. Neither of you have the energy to talk. You glance over at him from time to time, making sure he looks like he's doing okay. You catch him with a stern look on his face sometimes, and put a hand on his shoulder. He looks at you and gives you a quick smile before getting back to work. He doesn't want to talk right now. You aren't sure what you would say anyway, that you haven't already said at the bunker.
When the hut is finished, it has been dark out for awhile. It is close to midnight. You grab a bite to eat from the dinner the old couple kept out for you before setting up the cot in the new shack. You cuddle up to go to sleep.
The next morning, the sun is out. It is warm and breezy. The paladin looks up at the sky, calm. He smiles. You smile as you watch him.
The old couple are already hard at work. They are checking the turrets and watering the plants, respectively. You and he set out to help them in any way you can. He helps collect eggs and feed the chickens while you help repair the water pump.
When that job is done, all four of you take a break, sipping water and relaxing on the chairs around the firepit. There is very little talking, you just quietly sit there, soaking up each other's company in the warm sun. He looks like he's holding it together. You had hoped this location, away from anything BOS, would take his mind off of what happened. You know that it probably didn't, but you are trying, and he knows that. You hope this pace keeps him busy enough that he doesn't have too much time to dwell on his situation. You hope this gives him some time away from his troubles. You figure you two can process this later. You are trying to give him a break. You can't help but admit that it is nice to get away- dive headfirst into manual labor, so that you both don't have time to stew in your shock and sadness.
You ask him that night if he's ready to leave. He says he wouldn't mind spending one more day there. You agree and fall asleep in each other's arms.
