Cosmo Canyon
The air is dry and warm and filled with nature's symphony. You sit shoulder to shoulder with your companions around a bonfire, watching the flames dance on their contemplative faces. One of them is staring intently at the crackling flames, another sits with their face turned up to the sky. The wide blue blanket of space is brimming with stars, each one more brilliant than the next.
A steady wind blows through the huts and houses, catching a string of beads and making them sing. Somewhere from atop the highest peak, a lamenting flute trickles down into the valley like the voice of the spirits themselves. On the sunsetting horizon, flat-bottomed clouds gather and turn purple with contempt. A storm is on its way.
This is the valley of the fallen star.
