Fo4 An Afternoon in Diamond City

All around you are people. This is the busiest spot in the Commonwealth. A city full of shops, bars, inns, homes, and more. Still small by prewar standards, the whole city fits within the walls of the old Red Sox Stadium. It is one of the safest places in all of MA.
People roam all over the paths of this shantytown. Patrons sit in front of you at the open-air bar where a robot serves noodles for a small fee. Off to the sides are shopkeepers selling their wares, be it weaponry, chems, meat, junk, medical care, newspapers, and more. There is an ever so small hint of unease in the air, as the city recovers from a recent shooting and subsequent newspaper article, describing just why they should be fearful.
The smell of pasta, beer, must, dirt and garbage loom in the air. The city is not well-kept. There is litter pushed to the sides of the walkways nearly everywhere you look- not a lot of places to put non-recyclable materials. At least they are a bit better at sewage disposal, otherwise people would be a lot sicker here.
In the background, is the faint sound of cattle, as the farming/oxen are kept in the far back of the city- a big source of food here. Beside that is the pond- a big source of drinkable water for the city. Children run around, as it is after school hours. Soon, many of the citygoers will go inside for dinner, and the streets will quiet down a bit, as the bars and inns will get much louder. Later, the streets will fill again as inhabitants return to their shacks for the night.
